Some sofas are made to be looked at. Livante makes them to be sat in: at your pace, in your posture, after your kind of day. This guide covers what Livante is, how its sofas are built, what the collection offers, what it costs and where you can sit on one before you buy.

What is Livante?
Livante’s name joins two ideas: Living and Elegante. It is a premium upholstery brand made for buyers who care about quality, aesthetics and detail, and who want a sofa that is as durable as it is good-looking. The brand’s promise is that comfort and beauty should not compete: from the frame structure to the stitching of the cover, each detail is built with precision.
Livante comes from Wisanka Group (PT Wirasindo Santakarya), a producer and exporter of wooden, rattan and natural-fibre furniture and home décor, founded in Solo, Central Java, in 1993. The group is home to several brands, including Piguno Living, Piguno Commercial, Jiwani and Portae. Livante is its expansion into premium upholstery, with integrated production in Cirebon.
Sit, as you are.Livante’s brand line
The idea: sofas designed around how you really sit
Everyone has a spot where they are most comfortable. Some people sit upright, some lean back, some tuck a leg underneath, and some collapse completely after a long day. Livante’s starting point is that a sofa should follow these habits rather than force one posture. Its designs aim for a specific ergonomic approach and measured construction, so the sofa is right not only in a photo but once it is in your room and in daily use.
The collection: 65 models, eight ways to sit
The online shop groups its models by seating format. The counts below come from the shop’s category list, and the example prices are listed prices checked on 19 October 2026. Always confirm current prices on the site.
At the time of writing the Mova three-seater (SKU SF8016) was listed at Rp 29,499,000, marked down from Rp 36,649,000, the highest price among the models checked. Product pages also list dimensions: the Imelda L-shape (SKU SF8003) shows 240 × 120 × 55 cm, for example.
Which format suits which room?
| Format | Best for | Think about |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Seater | Corners, bedrooms, reading nooks | Pairing with a larger sofa for a complete set |
| 2 Seater | Apartments, small living rooms | Narrow staircases and lifts are easy to pass |
| 3 Seater | Family living rooms | Leave a clear walkway on at least one side |
| L-Shape | Lounging, corner layouts | Which side the chaise sits on, and the wall it needs |
| Island | Open-plan rooms, room dividers | The back is visible, so check the finish all round |
| Modular | Rooms that change or families that grow | The room for each module when rearranged |
Anatomy of a Livante sofa
A sofa is four decisions stacked together: the frame that carries the weight, the foam that decides how it feels, the cover you see and touch, and the base that keeps it stable. Livante describes the same building blocks.
- Frame: built from selected wood for a strong, stable structure that resists termite attack.
- Foam: high-density foam that feels soft but is slow to flatten, even after long use.
- Upholstery: a range of fabrics, from luxurious velvet to easy-clean materials for busy households.
- Ergonomics: each sofa is shaped around the human body for relaxed sitting.
Ask about foam density and fabric rub ratings for any sofa you consider, not only Livante. Our guide to upholstery fabric, Martindale ratings and foam explains the numbers.
Made in one place: inside the Cirebon factory
Livante runs its own integrated production facility in Cirebon, West Java (Jl. Kisabalanang No. 46, Kertasari, Weru). Every stage of making a sofa happens under one roof, and the factory is open to visits and client presentations.
- Cutting and frame.Wood is cut and joined into the frame that defines the sofa’s shape and strength.
- Upholstery and sewing.Foam is fitted, and covers are cut, sewn and fitted to the frame.
- Quality control.Finished sofas are checked before they leave the line. Buyers who want to understand inspection levels can read AQL explained for furniture buyers.
- Warehouse and shipping.Sofas are stored, packed and dispatched from the same site.

How to choose your sofa: a practical checklist
- Measure the room, then the route.Mark the sofa’s footprint on the floor with tape. Leave a comfortable walkway and about 40–45 cm between sofa and coffee table. Measure doors, lifts and stairs too.
- Pick the format.Use the table above: 2-seater for small spaces, 3-seater for families, L-shape or island for large or open rooms.
- Sit the way you actually sit. That is Livante’s own idea. Try upright, reclined and curled up. Feet should reach the floor and your back should be supported.
- Match the fabric to your life.Choose easy-clean materials for children and pets, and velvet where you want a richer look and can care for it.
- Compare construction, not only photos.Ask about frame wood, foam density and cover care. Check the listed dimensions against your measurements.
- Plan delivery and budget.Confirm delivery to your city and the payment method that suits you.
Keeping a sofa looking new
- Vacuum weekly with a soft brush attachment, and plump or rotate cushions regularly.
- Blot spills straight away instead of rubbing, and follow the care label on the fabric.
- Keep the sofa out of strong direct sun and away from heaters, which fade and dry fabrics.
- Brush velvet gently along the direction of the pile to keep its finish even.
